The Working Group on the Commodity Market Efficiency held its next meeting

The Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings held their Commodity Market Efficiency and Competition Working Group meeting online.

During the meeting, the progress made on the "Business Environment and International Ratings Commission's Commodity Market Efficiency and Competition Working Group Action Plan for 2023" and the World Bank's "Business Ready" report, as well as the results of the related questionnaires and assessments were discussed. Additionally, the new draft law on public procurement adopted by the Milli Majlis on June 24, 2023, in its third reading, which consists of 10 chapters and 59 articles, and its potential application was discussed.

During the Working Group meeting, there was a discussion about the progress made in the priority areas for this year, upcoming tasks, and recent reforms. Views were exchanged on the challenges that have arisen during implementation.

Representatives from various organizations including the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and the State Oil Company participated in a meeting arranged for mutual discussions with private sector representatives.

In conclusion, it was determined that holding meetings at a closer frequency would better ensure the timely and efficient execution of the measures outlined in the Action Plan.
