“Business Entry” Working Group meeting was held

On March 13, 2025, a meeting of the "Business Entry" Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, supervised by the State Tax Service (STS) under the Ministry of Economy, was held. The event was attended by members of the working group and officials directly involved in its activities, as well as representatives of legal and consulting companies.

Samira Musayeva, the head of the working group and deputy head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, welcomed the meeting participants and conveyed to their attention the issues on the agenda.

Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, Head of the Monitoring, Coordination and Evaluation Sector of Economic Reforms of the Department of Economic Policy and Industrial Affairs of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan provided information on "Road Map for the year 2025 on the implementation and communication of improvements in the relevant field related to the indicator of "Business Entry" of the "Business Ready” report  of the World Bank Group” approved by the Commission. He accented, that Azerbaijan is expected to be included in the World Bank Group's report to be published in September.

Then, Deputy Head of the State Tax Service, Samira Musayeva, presented information on the questionnaire addressed by the World Bank Group regarding dedicated indicator. The meeting participants were detailly informed on series of positive results have been achieved in terms of establishing a business in the country.

The meeting concerned discussions towards upcoming tasks related to the relevant roadmap for 2025, and also exchange of views on further improvement of business establishment processes. Proposals were submitted on innovations related to electronic state registration of LLCs with local and foreign investments, as well as reforms implemented in the field of business entry. It was decided to organize separate thematic meetings with the participation of representatives from legal and consulting companies, private sector and relevant government agencies on the issues arisen.
