A meeting of the Working Group "Business Entry" was held

On October 25, 2023, a video conference meeting of the "Business Entry" working group of Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings of the
Republic of Azerbaijan supervised by the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy was held. The meeting was attended by representatives of State Tax Service, as well as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms, Small and Medium Business Development Agency, and representatives of the country's leading consulting companies.

Member of the working group, deputy head of the State Registration Main Department of the State Tax Service Husniyya Abdullayeva reported on activities implemented in the 3rd quarter of 2023 within the "Road Map for the years 2022-2023 on the implementation of improvements in the relevant field related to the indicator of "Business Entry" of the project "Business Enabling Environment (rebranding to Business Ready)" of the World Bank Group”.

The participants of the event discussed the works envisaged on authentication of documents in a foreign language for legal entities with foreign investments. Anar Mammadov, Head of the Consular Affairs Department of the Consular Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spoke on the work done for creating an electronic information system for consular legalization and approval of related normative and legal acts. It was noted that the mounting of technical infrastructure in a number of consular units is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Farid Ismayilzadeh, Head of the Trust Services Department of the Information Security Department of "Azintelecom" LLC under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, noted the completion of technical integration works in areas requiring biometric identification within the framework of the Road Map, and submitted information for participants implemented on "Public Keys Infrastructure" where application possibilities are being explored.

The head of the working group, the deputy head of the State Tax Service, Samira Musayeva, emphasized that the completion of a significant part of the works planned for the Road Map is a positive moment. It was noted that additional support can be provided by state authorities in order to increase efforts on works that need to be completed. It was emphasized once again that the implementation of the Road Map will bring a number of innovations in the field of business registration in our country, and will make the process easier for both local and foreign investors.
