The meeting of the Working Group entitled "Dispute resolution, judicial system and the rule of law" of the World Bank's "Favorable Business Environment" project of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held on 29.03.2024 at 15:00 p.m. via video-conference.
Representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Economy, Judicial-Legal Council, Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Small and Medium Business Development Agency, Central Bank, Court of Appeal and other members of the working group took part in this meeting organized through online platform.
It should be noted that the works done in order to obtain appropriate scores in the questionnaire on the "Dispute Resolution" indicator of the new "Business Ready" report of the World Bank have been also discussed at this meeting, as well as instructions regarding the holding of meetings with the private sector have been given in order to increase awareness related to the questions of the questionnaire reflected in the legislation. Apart from this, this meeting discussed the project of the “Road Map for 2024 regarding the implementation of improvements in the relevant field related to the "Dispute Resolution" indicator of the World Bank Group’s "Favorable Business Environment" project.
The meeting also discussed the research and analysis conducted on the issue raised by entrepreneurs within the framework of the "Mechanism for submission of information and proposals related to the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs to the working groups of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings" and sent to the “Dispute Resolution, Judicial System and the Rule of Law” working group, as well as suggestions for eliminating the existing problem have been also discussed, an agreement has been reached on the addition of relevant measures to the draft of the newly prepared road map related to the issue in order to ensure that the necessary measures are taken.
The event continued in the context of mutual discussions and the questions of the participants have been answered.
