On February 14, 2025, at 16:00, the next meeting of the Working Group on Effective Governance and Macroeconomic Indicators of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings was held.
The meeting, which was held via the “Webex” platform, was attended by officials from the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the State Oil Fund, the State Statistics Committee, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Energy. The meeting discussed the work envisaged in the working group’s action plan for 2024 and exchanged views on upcoming issues.
The main topics of discussion at the meeting were ensuring budget transparency, increasing debt sustainability, the burden of state regulation, debt dynamics, monetary freedom, the global Innovation Index, as well as issues related to effective management of natural resources. The meeting noted the progress of our country in international ratings during 2024.
As a result of the meeting held in a format of mutual discussion, it was decided to implement activities to improve the position of our country in international ratings, optimize the burden of state regulation and implement measures to effectively manage natural resources within the framework of 2025.
The effectiveness of the measures implemented was assessed at the meeting, and steps to be taken in the coming period were determined. The members of the working group held active discussions to ensure the sustainable economic development of our country and reached agreements on future plans.
