A reporting meeting of the Working Group on “Improving the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was held in a video-conference format

On March 5 of the current year, a reporting meeting of the Working Group on “Improving the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was held in a video-conference format.

The meeting was attended by the leadership and members of the working group.

Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, Samir Mahmudov, Head of the Working Group and Executive Director of The Center for Legal Examination and Legislative Initiatives, provided information on the work accomplished regarding the measures outlined in the Working Group's Action Plan for 2024.

During the meeting, the Action Plan for 2025 was presented to the meeting participants, and the proposals of the participants regarding the document were discussed and their questions were answered.

In conclusion, the Head of the Working Group, Samir Mahmudov, emphasized once again the importance of substantiated proposals and feedback for the activity of the working group and invited all interested parties to a more intensive cooperation.

As a reminder, the Working Group on “Improving the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was established in December 2023 under the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the initiative of The Center for Legal Examination and Legislative Initiatives. The draft Concept Document on the improvement of the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is currently being prepared by the working group, can be reviewed via the Center's website.
