Azerbaijan’s Passport Ranking Improves in International Index

Azerbaijan has improved its position in the updated 2026 Passport Index released by the international consulting firm Henley & Partners, moving up three places to rank 67th. According to the ranking results, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan can travel to 70 countries visa-free, with a visa on arrival, or via an electronic visa. It should be noted that within the framework of the Commission on the Business Environment and International Rankings, the activities of the Working Group on International Agreements—including the expansion of reciprocal visa-free travel regimes, the increase in the number of international agreements, and the implementation of institutional reforms—have made a significant contribution to strengthening Azerbaijan’s position in international passport rankings.
