On December 13th of this year, a meeting of the “Improving the efficiency of national services in border trade” subgroup of the “International Trade” Working Group of the Business Environment and International Ratings Commission was held.
At the meeting, which was attended by officials from relevant government agencies and representatives from the private sector, Mr. Vusar Shikhaliyev, the Head of the Secretariat of the Business Environment and International Ratings Commission, provided general information about the activities of the subgroup “Improving the efficiency of national services in border trade” and the main goals in this direction.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the 3 main parts of the “International trade” questionnaire of the “Business Ready” project of the World Bank Group, namely the quality of regulation, the quality of public services and questions addressed to entrepreneurs, exchanged detailed views in terms of organization of work as a result of their analysis and appropriate diagnostics by revising all relevant questions.
At the same time, the importance of taking purposeful steps in the mentioned areas and carrying out complex measures by the representatives of the public and private sectors in this direction with analysis in order to achieve the goals set was emphasized.
ln conclusion, the Head of the Secretariat of the Commission, Mr. Vusal Shikhaliyev, called for the establishment of relevant thematic groups within the subgroup for the development of relevant proposals and the need to create a Road Map for the work to be carried out in this direction.
