A Meeting of the Coordination Group Has Been Held

The measures taken toward improving Azerbaijan's position in the “Global Innovation Index 2025” report were brought to attention. The next online meeting of the Coordination Group on the Global Innovation Index of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings has been held. Representatives of the relevant working groups of the Commission and state institutions participated in the meeting. Elnur Aliyev, Head of the Coordination Group and First Deputy Minister of Economy, emphasized the significance of the measures implemented to enhance Azerbaijan's standing in the “Global Innovation Index 2025” report. The issues regarding the updating of indicator data, continuation of coordination with international organizations, and refinement of coordination mechanisms were highlighted. Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Sector for Monitoring, Coordination, and Evaluation of Economic Reforms of the Department for Economic Policy and Industrial Issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Commission Secretariat, noted the importance of the timely and accurate submission of data to international organizations, and underscored the significance of incorporating index indicators into action plans in a more systematic manner. During the meeting, the work accomplished regarding the index, indicators requiring updates, measures planned for the near future, and issues related to the upcoming report were discussed. In conclusion, the necessity of strengthening coordination among the relevant working groups and the timely execution of action plans was emphasized.
