The “Labor Market” working group, led by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population under the Business Environment and International Rankings Commission, held its next meeting.
The meeting was attended by Rashad Mustafayev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population and Head of the working group; Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission and Sector Director at the Presidential Administration; as well as representatives of government and non-governmental institutions represented in the working group.
During the meeting, presentations were delivered on the 2026 Action Plan of the working group, as well as on the 2026 Roadmap draft for the “Labor Force” indicator of the World Bank Group’s “Business Ready” report.
It should be noted that the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) was represented at the meeting by Elnur Alakbarov, head of the Economic analysis Division.
The discussions also focused on the development of the labor market, improvement of labor legislation, expansion of active labor market programs, and enhancement of workforce skills. Planned initiatives in these areas for the upcoming year were also discussed.
