The next meeting of the "Corporate Governance, Investments and Corporate Social Responsibility" working group was held

The meeting of the Working Group discussed the work done towards the implementation of the Action Plan in the past period of 2025.

The next meeting of the "Corporate Governance, Investments and Corporate Social Responsibility" Working Group, led by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings, was held.

The meeting, organized in an online format, was attended by Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the division of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SMBDA, as well as representatives of the Ministries of Economy, Justice, Ecology and Natural Resources, Energy, the Central Bank, the State Statistical Committee, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and other institutions.

At the meeting, presentations were made by relevant agencies on the implementation of the Working Group's action plan for the past period of 2025, as well as the work done in the current year on the relevant indicators of the Global Innovation Index, information was provided on the measures taken and the results achieved. It was noted that in the 2025 Action Plan, special attention is paid to the issues of taking into account the indicators on the relevant indicators in the rating reports and informing business representatives and the public about the reforms implemented. As a result of the work done in this framework, Azerbaijan ranked 2nd among 139 countries on the sub-indicator of the Global Innovation Index "Entrepreneurship Policy and Culture".

The meeting also exchanged views on current issues, as well as upcoming tasks, including the formation of the Working Group's Action Plan for 2026.
